Anjelyka Fasci is a San Antonio native and has applied to the PhD program for the Biomedical Engineering department that works in conjunction with the University of Texas Health Science Center of San Antonio (UTHSCSA). She is currently completing her Bachelor’s of Science in the Mechanical Engineering department and will be graduating in May of 2023. She has worked in the MDI lab since the summer of 2021 under the MOPSY/VOPS project where she conducted data collection, device design, and data analysis. In addition, she has written two accepted abstracts and has co-written eleven publications alongside her team. Past work previous to her engineering endeavor includes twelve years in the physical therapy field in various positions, an Associate’s in Kinesiology, and a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Science. She is currently on the MDI website design team and working towards creating a Bioethics Repository in tandem with Dr. R. Lyle Hood, Dr. Andrew Brightman, and Sanjana Prashanth for her Independent Study. Aside from her engineering pursuits, Anjelyka is an avid hiker/backpacker, plays the cello, and is continuously trying to learn new languages.
