Daniel Com Morales is an undergraduate student at The University of Texas at San Antonio pursuing a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering. Originally from Huancayo, Perú, his research interests include medical device design, bioinstrumentation, and biomechanics analysis. He gained valuable industry experience as an Engineering Intern at AMETEK (Paragon Medical), where he supported FDA- and ISO 13485-compliant manufacturing and created a preventive maintenance plan for laser machines in MaintainX software. This complements his hands-on lab skills in hardware prototyping, software (MATLAB, R, Solidworks), and benchtop testing. He is seeking to apply this technical expertise in a research or industry setting after graduation.
